Thousands of Lives May Be Saved With Technology To Stop Cancer: Versadel Does it Again
Hattiesburg, MS–Ablitech, Inc., a biotechnology company dedicated to the development and commercializing of platform technologies that heal and protect the human body, announced today that their award-winning gene delivery technology, Versadel, has demonstrated the ability to turn off pancreatic cancer.
Chief Technology Officer Nick Hammond said, “Pancreatic cancer impacts thousands of Americans every year; our work with Versadel has the potential to expand treatment options available to those diagnosed with this devastating disease.”
Initial laboratory trials under a Phase I, Small Business Innovation Research, verify that Ablitech’s product is adept at stopping the pancreatic cells from growing: eliminating their power to spread.
Hammond continued, “We are encouraged daily by the bench top results in model systems that enable us to move forward with our work.”
Ablitech’s CEO Ken Malone believes, “If Versadel can prevent one life from being effected by this disease, then we’ve accomplished all we set out to do.”
